General Practitioner, Medical Director & Founder
Dr Lena Attebo is the founder of Oracle Healthcare with over 30 years’ experience as a doctor.
Graduating from medicine at UNSW, Lena initially commenced her career in acute care medicine in anaesthesia and intensive care before changing to general practice, pursuing her passion for preventative medicine. Over the last 16 years she has worked in corporate and private health assessments, which motivated her to set up her own clinic. Her aim was to use an interdisciplinary approach to create a genuinely collaborative working relationship between practitioners to improve the health and wellbeing of the clients.
For Lena, the gold comes from forming caring relationships with patients, empowering them to take control of their wellbeing – today and tomorrow.
Her focus is on lifestyle as medicine in the prevention, treatment and management of chronic and lifestyle related disease.
Away from work Lena fills her time with her large extended family – hosting Sunday roast and going for walks with her active dogs.

Cardiologist
Dr Chris Quirk has been a clinical cardiologist since 1994, working in both the public and private sectors. He is now our onsite cardiologist at Oracle Healthcare.
After graduating from Oxford University, Chris completed his clinical studies at St Thomas Hospital in London and then went on to get his membership (MRCP) with the Royal College of Physicians in London.
Upon returning to Australia, Chris completed his cardiology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, followed by two years of research at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Chris spent 10 years teaching and performing coronary angiography at Concord Hospital. He also operatsout of The Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga, where he still admits his non-surgical patients. He is also presently on Staff at Royal North Shore Hospital and North Shore Private Hoispital.
Alongside the hospital, Chris had a private cardiology practice at Hunters Hill, Sydney, for nearly 30 years.
While he remains a general clinical cardiologist, he also spends two days a week at the hospital performing procedures such as angiographies, echocardiograms and pacemaker/defibrillator implantations.
Chris is highly focused on preventative cardiology with a special interest in exercise and how it reduces cardiac risk and improves wellbeing.
Away from work Chris loves to stay active, competing in surf skiing, kayaking and cycling. He also loves sailing and yachting and has competed in the Hobart races multiple times. He’s even a qualified Yacht Master and Celestial Navigation instructor running sessions part time on the Sydney Harbour.
But his main love? Of course, it’s his family and the quality time he can spend with them.

General Practitioner
Clara graduated from her medical studies at the University of Sydney and has been working in General Practice since 2006.
Clara is passionate about being proactive in her approach to medicine. She has had a keen interest in preventative health care since she was a junior doctor. In her time as a general practitioner, she has witnessed the inadequacies of the current reactive-focussed health care system and its failure to address the root cause of many health conditions. Since discovering the use of lifestyle as medicine, she has been training intensely to learn how she can empower her patients to optimise their health in a holistic way.
She finds real joy in her work when she sees her patients achieve their health goals, whether that be sustainable weight reduction or reversing their chronic health conditions, such as type 2 diabetes. She is excited to be a part of the multi-disciplinary team at Oracle Healthcare to maximise the opportunities for excellent long-term health outcomes for her patients.
Outside of work, Clara enjoys European-style board games, escape rooms, nature photography, geocaching, being outdoors and running – you can be sure to find her at her favourite parkrun every Saturday morning.

General Practitioner
Dr Jill’s goals are to help prevent disease, support behaviour change, encourage healthy lifestyle modifications, and help improve healthspan and lifespan using evidence-based practice. Her educational, academic, life and occupational journey have supported in her helping people reach these goals.
Dr Jill grew up in Canada, where she completed Bachelor degrees in Biology and Exercise Science/Athletic Therapy, and subsequently worked as an Athletic Therapist for the Canadian Olympic Judo Team and other elite sports teams.
After two years travelling the world, Dr Jill arrived in Australia where she went on to attend medical school. She graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales and completed specialty training and Fellowship to become a General Practitioner.
Dr Jill has also completed the International Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine, the Fellowship in Lifestyle Medicine, and a Masters of Applied Science in Coaching Psychology.
Dr Jill has a passion for education and is a member of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) Education Committee. She is also Senior Lecturer in the postgraduate programs in Lifestyle Medicine at James Cook University School of Medicine.
Outside of work, Dr Jill is a keen traveller and has visited over 52 countries, with more to come. In her spare time, she loves spending time being active outdoors with her husband, two daughters and dog Lincoln.

Cardiologist
Dr Avedis Ekmejian is a general and interventional (procedural) cardiologist, who prides himself on evidence-based and compassionate care for his patients. He is confident managing all aspects of cardiology, with particular expertise in coronary artery disease and chest pain assessment. While he is trained in more invasive techniques to treat severe cardiac disease, Dr Ekmejian is also an advocate for preventative care. His post-graduate training has been across multiple tertiary hospitals in NSW, including sub-specialist training in interventional cardiology at Royal North Shore Hospital over a 2-year period.
In addition to his medical degree, he has obtained a Masters of Science from the University of Edinburgh, and is currently completing a PhD through the University of Sydney under the supervision of Professor Ravinay Bhindi and Dr Michael Ward. This enables him to continue to improve the clinical care he provides his patients. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of interventional cardiology, and regularly reviews for other high impact cardiology journals. He was a finalist in the ANZET Early Career Research Prize, Australia’s major conference for Interventional Cardiology. He is an advocate for ethical research, maintaining a position in the ethics committee at NSLHD. He furthermore has extensive experience in teaching, through lecturing roles at the University of Sydney, training cardiology trainees in procedural and clinical skills at Royal North Shore Hospital, and is a co-director of the HEART course.
In addition to his clinic service at Oracle Healthcare, Dr Ekmejian has admitting and procedural rights at Royal North Shore Hospital (public) and North Shore Private Hospital (private).

Dietitian & Health Coach
Shivaun has worked as a dietitian and presenter since 2004 – adding executive health coaching to her practice in 2012.
Coaching individuals in nutrition and lifestyle, Shivaun believes in empowering her clients to strive for optimal health.
As Director of Accredited Health Coaching Australia, she trains health professionals to be experts in behaviour change and is highly active in the field of preventative medicine. She also trains her colleagues in preventative and lifestyle medicine best practice.
Shivaun is a professional member of Dietitians Australia (DA) and Health Coaches Australia & New Zealand Association (HCANZA). And was the former Vice President of The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
Shivaun was excited to join the Oracle Healthcare team to deliver clients the highest quality comprehensive care, coaching them to make long term changes to their health
She also values working alongside our interdisciplinary team – the key, she believes, to amazing long-term client results.

Sports Dietitian & Health Coach
Dr Gemma Sampson is an Advanced Sports Dietitian and Health Coach with 15 years’ experience in clinical, industry and private settings. She sharpened her skills in Europe and the UK where she worked for over a decade.
Her areas of specialisation include malnutrition, oncology, coeliac disease, metabolic disorders and sports nutrition. And she’s passionate about fuelling peak performance in all clients – from busy professionals to Olympic athletes.
Gemma provides expert nutritional advice and coaching that is practical, realistic – and empowering. So whether at work, home or on holidays, clients can achieve their goals.
Her best bit of nutritional advice? All foods can fit. It just comes down to timing, frequency and portions. Intentional choices are far more sustainable than a binge-restrict cycle.
Outside of the clinic, Gemma’s a keen cyclist, who practises what she teaches, fuelling on and off the bike.

Dietitian & Nutritionist
Jess Burvill is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist who is passionate about translating nutrition science into simple advice to help people live healthy and active lives. Jess can assist you in making realistic changes to optimise your nutrition, improve your health and support your goals.
Outside of the clinic Jess writes for the Healthy Food Guide magazine, providing nutrition advice, analysing recipes, developing meal plans and reviewing supermarket food products.
In her spare time, Jess is a keen cyclist who has competed at a national level in masters road racing. Now retired from competitive racing, she prefers to spend weekends exploring new roads, trails and cafes on two wheels with friends.

Exercise Physiologist
Freya has always been passionate about health and fitness working in the industry for the last 10 years.
As a clinical Exercise Physiologist, Freya has excellent experience across the private sector, public hospital systems, disability schemes, veteran schemes and specialist clinics and gyms.
At Oracle Healthcare, Freya aims to help people move better and feel better. She runs testing to gain a baseline of your fitness and health through the Functional Movement Screen. And then works closely with you to understand your current activity and health history to help guide the most individualised program for your schedule, health and goals. Freya also facilitates ECG stress tests, V02 max and lactate threshold testing, audiometry testing, and spirometry testing.
Outside of work Freya’s love for fitness continues with surfing, running and weight training. Her sporting highlights have been playing Rugby 7s for Sydney University, Rep teams, New South Wales and for a United Kingdom based team on their European season.
Freya also loves to travel and host dinner parties for family and friends.

Exercise Physiologist
Amanda commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and using exercise to prevent and manage disease stems from her own family’s history of lifestyle-related diseases. This personal connection drives her to empower her clients to take control of their wellbeing, using exercise and lifestyle change to prevent, treat, and manage various health conditions.
With over 10 years working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Amanda’s experience is wide and varied, from clinical practice to teaching our future AEPs, from children to the elderly, athletes to armchair experts and everything in between! She is currently also lecturing at UTS in their new Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology program with a focus on complex cases & clinical care and placements.
At Oracle Healthcare, Amanda’s goal is to help people find a way to move that they actually enjoy, so they can also enjoy the health benefits associated with increased physical activity! She believes that everyone deserves a program designed specifically for them, which is finely attuned to their own personal likes (and dislikes!) and current goals.
Beyond the world of Exercise Physiology, Amanda actively supports charitable causes, including being a committee member for the Dementia Research Community’s Gala Night, and leading rides for events like ‘Bondi2Berry Ride to Remember’ and ‘Bike Ride for Brain Cancer.’
In her free time, Amanda loves travelling, time with family & friends, cycling, touch football, and sports in general, with her own sporting achievements including winning the 2015 FIT Touch World Cup and representing Australia in the UCI Cycling World Championships in 2019.

Melanographer
Zac’s passion for preventative medicine came from his experience in the emergency health field as a paramedic where he consistently witnessed the end point of mismanaged chronic disease in the community.
Now practising as a qualified melanographer and Board Certified by the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine Zac performs our inhouse imaging modalities including skin assessment and body composition scanning.
Zac is also in Oracle Healthcare’s management team.
Outside of the clinic, Zac can be found freediving, rock climbing, snow skiing or enjoying music and nature.

Medical Liaison Manager & Business Development Manager
Christine is our corporate and medical liaison manager spending her days guiding HR leads, businesses, medical colleagues and the public on the benefits of health-risk screening and wellbeing support.
With a background in physiotherapy, it’s no surprise what she values above all: wellbeing, exercise and optimising health.
Christine worked as a physiotherapist at Royal North Shore Hospital and the NSW Academy of Sport in Sydney. She then went on to become a territory sales manager for an orthopaedic device company before finding us – and her dream job – here at Oracle Healthcare.
When at home she loves morning runs and yoga, canyoning ,long nature walks and cooking for people who love food.

Medical Receptionist
Maxine has worked with our onsite Cardiologist, Dr Quirk, since January 2000.
Starting as his medical receptionist at his previous practice in Hunters Hill, Maxine happily moved to Oracle Healthcare in 2022 to continue supporting his clinic.
She is both very loyal and very British.
Maxine has been a Medical Secretary/Receptionist since 1993, previously working for a Paediatrician.
Nowadays, you’ll often find Maxine in the exercise physiologists consultation room taking advantage of the strength training equipment. Or outside of work, she’ll be walking, reading, baking and mastering handicrafts.
Practice Manager and Client Liaison Lead
Kristina supports our clients throughout their journey – from first call through to follow-on support.
She’s a third-year speech pathology student who’s passionate about community care and sustainability. She gives back through her extensive experience working with Indigenous communities around Bundjalung and Eora country.
Outside of work Kristina is an avid cyclist and celebrator of local dogs and cats.
Medical Receptionist
With a versatile past, Marie has a wealth of life and industry experience.
She has spent time as a Patient Liaison Officer at the NSW Health Hospital, Sydney Kids, Sutherland and Caringbah Public Hospitals and Kareena Private Hospital.
Marie is also a qualified dental nurse, Assistant in Nursing (AIN) and hairdresser.
Away from work Marie loves to keep herself busy with her children, seven gorgeous grandkids – and two fur babies.
She’s also an avid music lover attending live shows whenever she can. She also enjoys long walks all around Lane Cove. So if you see her, be sure to stop and say hi. We guarantee you’ll be glad you did.
