Metabolic rate testing is the gold standard test for measuring the number of calories your body burns at rest, known as your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR). This test helps determine how efficiently your body converts food into energy.

The test typically takes about 15 minutes, during which you need to remain relaxed and avoid talking or moving excessively.
